Jens ‘Jeans89’ Kyllönen Wins $239k: Up $660k for September

So I was reading today Successful Finnish poker pro Jens “Jeans89” Kyllönen won $239k Thursday playing at PokerStars high stakes PLO tables, bringing his September winnings thus far up to $660k, according to HighStakesDB

Absolutely amazing the amount of money some of these poker players make online. Granted they probably can lose double that tomorrow but still astonishing.

High stakes PLO is all variance, they should play for 10 lifetimes before you can say who can consistantly beat the game :)

Yeah. Big variance stuff. Some of these young poker players have started pretty small and built huge bankrolls in relatively quickky. Just in matter of few years. They are good, but most have gotten lucky at some point, winning big tournament or got a sponsor etc.

Poker is challenging game, I woudn't have cool enough nerves to play at that level. I think I'd be crapping myself playing high stakes like that even if I had a huge bankroll.

Couple of dollar NL is good enough for me when I have time to play. Usually play $1/$2 and Max $2/$5. Quite big runs and variance at that level too.

Yeah, I have much more respect for the mid-stakes grinders who log 3K+ hands/day at $2/$4 to $10/$20 and have been around for years with very few losing months. The high stakes PLO degens come and go, have no respect for money and play way over their bankrolls most of the time :) with a few exceptions of course.
