So I decided to actually try a strategy while playing this morning after work.
I bought in with $500 (which you'll at least need just to be safe) and either picked red or black based on what previously hit.
Black hit first so I bet $10 on red. Black hit again so I doubled my bet to $20. Black hit again so I doubled to $40. Red hit which gave me $80 back and a total profit of $10 bringing me to $510. $10 more than when I started with.
I kept doing this until I was $160 in profit which only took 45-50 minutes. Sometimes it would linger on a color for a while until I hit.
This seems like a fool proof system as long as the color doesn't stay on the opposite of what you need for eternity (or until your bankroll is completely depleted).
Has anyone else done this? Maybe I'm not seeing all the angles, but this seems pretty legit to make a good amount of money in just a short time.
Definitely set me straight if any of you have tried and failed with this.
I love playing, but it has been my experience that works one time will not work the next. You just have to play a system that feels good to you at the time. I have been know to be red hot or ice cold. Mostly ice cold the last few times.
Oh I believe it man! That's me with black jack. I will have a great week with bets and or poker and hit the casino and give it all back through bj. I'm either too stubborn or too stupid to give up the game haha.
But with the system I'm talking about as long as you have the bankroll in front of you to cover your losses as long as you get one win (and you obviously will if you have enough money in front of you) you will get all your money back plus $10 in profit.
I have heard black has hit 52 times in a row at a vegas casino, but that is ridiculously rare.
Here is my mathematical explantion (as best as I can describe)
1. Let's say Red is the color you need to hit and you have $500
2. You place a $10 bet on red
3. Black hits
4.You now have $490
5. You double your bet to $20 and bet red again
6. Black hits
7. You now have $470
8. You double your bet to $40
9. Red hits. You win the previous $30 you bet before PLUS the $10.
10. You now have $10 more than when you first started. $510.
11.You keep doing this over and over only winning $10 when your color comes up
This is a martingale betting strategy and the reason this strategy doesnt work is the following: One, everytime that little white ball is dropped it has the same chance of falling on red or black, it doesnt have a preference so the odds are the same each time, unfortunately they arent 50/50 because of the 0 and 00 on the wheel. That gives the house the edge over your red black bet every time. Secondly, tables have limits and eventually when you hit 10,15,or 20 blacks in a row they arent going to let you bet red over the table limit, thus you will loose your ability to up your bet and recover your ten dollars.
The only games ill play in the casino are games that were around 30 years ago. You can bet they have a pretty low house edge! Some of the newer games cary house edges in the high teens and house takes in the low 20% range.
Theres much better systems out there if you want to play roulette. Pick up a few books like "casino math" by hannum, he was a professor of mine and consults for MGM from a stastical perspective
Good stuff Cooper. The only thing I would like to add and I dont play online very often but do in the casino. Which I play alot of "quadrents? etc.. to help increase winning but online to me it seems you dont see the run of Red or Black.. Since its computerized so to speak I feel its more likely to be 50-50. But again if it were that easy I would do it all the time.
There are a bunch of MLB type systems like this that I think work better and can be much more profitable
