MONDAYS JTG VERSION OF 'THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY'
Raul Ibanez hits a grand slam in the bottom of the 8th with the game tied at 2 en route to the Yankees topping Toronto 6-3 last night at Yankee Stadium. Helped me cash the run line late but I am still waiting for a situation where I took a home team RL only to walk off in multi-run fashion in the 9th inning or later. I know it has happened for certain home teams several times this season and it will only be a matter of time it will apply during a game I wagered on.
St. Louis scores 3 runs in the top of the 9th inning all with 2 outs to edge Milwaukee 3-2 at Miller Park last night. So many times this season the Cards have been on the short end of late games, it's nice they could end their slide on the road in avenging fashion.
The over 8 is easily cashed in the bottom of the 3rd inning as Seattle trounces Kansas City 9-4 at Kaufmann Stadium. The Mariners pound out 3 HR and continue to hit the ball well away from Cathedral-like Safeco Field.
You think you're sitting pretty after 3 innings having the over 8.5 with Arizona leading Cincinnati 5-3 at the Great American Ballpark. Except someone forgot to tell both teams I needed just one run as both teams combine to go scoreless for the final 6 innings despite numerous opportunities. That one really smarted across the board considering most I knew were on the same play.
Pittsburgh's Pedro Alvarez crushes a 3 run HR in the top of the 9th inning to tie the game at 4 between the Pirates and Rockies. That is until colorado's Dexter Fowler comes through hitting the game winning sac fly in the bottom of the frame at Coors. The loss abruptly ruined a two and 4 teamer for me calculating a $563 swing.
Minnesota crushes Chris Tillman and Baltimore for 10 runs through 3 innings and the Twins pound out 20 hits obliterating the Orioles 19-7 last night at Target Field. The win snaps a 5 game losing streak for the last place Twinkies out of the Central but sends the Birds to their 5th loss over the last 6 games. Joe Mauer had a chance to complete the scoring but his 2 point conversion attempt was stuffed a great defensive play by Adam Jones on a draw play up the middle.

Great stuff JTG... I think you captured yesterday's G, B & U very well.
Gotta admit that Colo win was a killer for me a well (I'm sure it crushed a lot of folks) I am not so sure I wouldn't of put it in the ugly category the way I was carrying on around the house last night
