As I am sure you all have seen the trend this year is new WILD uniforms. "Like them don't like them" has been the question from reporters across the country... I am sure you guys have heard some as well but here are just a few of the comments I found interesting on this subject...
Bob Stoops:' I think they are awesome, as long as they are on someone else."
QB Brandon Weeden: "As players we love them and ultimately - no disrespect to anybody else- we're the ones wearing them."
Associated Press Writer: "Maryland's outfits look like someone tore up the state flag and glued the pieces on a practice uniform."
Maryland Def. Player: "The uniforms are amazing!"
Maryland's Coach Edsall: "Kids are into gear. They love those designs. The kids went nuts when they saw the new looks. The room erupted"
Same AP Writer: "Boise State's gear could of been borrowed from 'Power Rangers'."
I know LSU has some changes as well... Personally I love the receivers gloves that when they put their hands side by side they look like a tiger's eyes. SEE BELOW
I know there are a lot more comments out there, I read them daily - the message boards and blogs run rampant each time a game is televised that shows off a new uniform. I just didn't type the 1000's of comments I've read (if you know of a funny one by all means please share it) This thread really doesn't have much to do with the game but more to the fact that it's just little things like "freakish" uniforms that seem to spark the players. Now it they can just spark some wins out of all those teams with the "New Look" I suppose it will all be worth it.
Dennis Dodd: "Apparently, Oregon State felt jealous this year and developed its own clown suits. I don't know what's worse, having a uniform for every mood or wearing training bras. (That's what they're calling the Oregon State jerseys that have some kind weird design on the front)."
