Great question. I will try and come up with my list later on today after work. Mine will be different you others. Dark Side of the Moon looks popular. I am pretty sure The Wall will be on mine.

In no particular order

Appetite for Destruction (GNR)
Thriller (Michael Jackson)
Hotel California (Eagles)
Rumours (Fleetwood Mac)
Reckless (Bryan Adams)

Many many others get honorable mention

I would also have to include

Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd)
Bat out of Hell (Meat Loaf) > Long story here but music is close to my heart

Certainly Aerosmith will be right there

Will think about it this week. I have a list of my favorite movies but never did the albums. Good stuff

OK......it's tough because I probably have more listening (years) in than anyone else here as I started in the 50's. Keeping that in mind, I have given myself some leeway and tossed in a few extra. Cheated a bit and gave myself more bang for my buck and threw in some "Greatest Hits" albums instead of the Individuals. I have tried to cross as many decades as I could:

50's----THE EVERLY BROS "The Very Best of The Everly Bros." (Warner Bros 1554) or"The Everly Bros. Best" (Cadence 3025) Super Honorable Mention BUDDY HOLLY "A Rock and Roll Collection" (MCA 4009)

60's THE RONETTES "Featuring Veronica" (Philles 4006) or THE CRYSTALS "He's a Rebel" Philles 4001. Very Honorable Mention: Any one of the early BEACH BOYS Surfing or Hot Rod LP's or any one of THE SUPERSTOCKS Capitol LP's. I say early Beach Boys only as I think their post '65 stuff borderline sucks. *The Superstocks were just a group of non-touring studio musicians but the captured the West Coast Surf/Hot Rod music scene to the fullest.

70's DIRE STRAITS "Dire Straits" (Warner Bros 3266) Very Honorable Mention ,THE RAMONES "It's Alive" (Sire 6084)

80's BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN "Live '75-'85" I cheated alot as this is a 5 lp Set. Honorable Mention-something by the Cramps, probably a live bootleg.

90's THE RAYMEN-HANK RAY "Rebel Years '85-'87"(Rebel Records) or "Garbaged, Littered & Totally Destroyed" (Raucous Records)

00's Probably THE RAVEONETTES "Chain Gang of Love"

10's AIRBORNE TOXIC EVENT Live would be "All I Ever Wanted" or Studio Release would be "The Airborne Toxic Event" (Island Records)

It pains me to leave out so many, that's what's bad about the "Best Of" anything lists. Bobby Fuller 4, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Dick Dale,Velvet Underground, Fleetwood Mac, The Cichlids(unknown to ya'll, I know) Holll & The Italians, even Spooky's Meatloaf and my beloved Del Shannon............Awww chit, I wish I hadn't even started this, LOL.
Sorry, guess I just broke alll the rules of the thread and in doing so somewhat defeated the thread's purpose.

This is so difficult, it could change any given year for me.

I'll throw these out for now, off the top of my head.

Legend- Bob Marley (a best of so to speak, I'd say this shouldn't count really, but whatever)
Master of Puppets- Metallica
Van Halen- Van Halen
Houses of the Holy- Led Zeppelin
Appetite for Destruction- Guns & Roses

I must be gettin' old... I still think baseball is cool.
