HELP-Capping Question??

I need some help! I have been told that one of the so called "rules" of capping is: you don't bet against the home team if they have lost all the prior games in that series BECAUSE few teams get swept at home! (we have a few of those today) MY QUESTION IS: does this so called "rule" apply with inter-league games? Because I suck at capping inter-league and need to know if I should consider this factor

While the law of averages apply as favorable I don;t use such a theor or trend. Given the elements, injury and weather reports, and pitching matchups any team could have inverse success whether playing at home trying to sweep a series or ending at home salvaging at least one game.

I can honestly say I've never used it as a bases for a bet either but thought I'd ask to see I'd others thought it had merit! (like I said inter-league gives me fits)

Thanks for the opinion JTG! I always appreciate the help!

Interleague is tough as it is...If I had a lean on the road team I would most likely take a harder look before betting on the sweep...probably wouldn't lay anything higher than -130 or so on the road team...good luck with whatever you play!

Who have you been told this by? lol

First of all what happens before happens again. I would rather play on the team that is winning to beat the team at home for a consecutive game. First of all they are probably playing better. They have a ton more value for the simple reason that many people play the "due" factor. Well I have been told that people that play the "due" factor only play for a short period of time because they are dead broke waiting for something that they expect to be due to happen. imo

The 'due' factor is one of the biggest bunches of jibberish I have experienced in the capping world and really doesn't determine the validity of an outcome until the unexpected has occured. If I was playing by the due factor I'd sooner play for pennies in a poker game hoping I was 'due' for some lucky cards rather than wait around for Albert Pujols take what...40 games to be 'due' for his first homer run of the season? Hand me a stash of darts and I'll put on a blindfold.

Everyone caps differently and as such, many cappers will use the 'due' factor.

If you're uncomfortable with the 'due' factor, don't use it.

It doesn't make you right and it doesn't make them wrong.

Capping is totally subjective.

And never EVER forget: If 20 consecutive reds appear on a roulette wheel, by definition Black is 'due.' The reality is they still have an equal chance of occuring next.

I like the betting the home team does not get swept as long as the odds are decent. I used to play that all the time, but not so much over the years. Interleague is a guessing game in my opinion.
