CHICAGO -- Phillies right-hander Vance Worley said Tuesday afternoon that he was not worried about the soreness in his right elbow.
On Wednesday, however, Worley was placed him on the 15-day disabled list with elbow inflammation.
The Phillies recalled left-hander Joe Savery from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to take Worley's place on the 25-man roster, and right-hander Kyle Kendrick will fill Worley's rotation spot and pitch Wednesday night against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.

Worley said Tuesday he has felt some discomfort in his elbow for about a month.
"It's something I can pitch on, but it's just bothering me enough where I want another opinion on it," he said.
Worley remained in Philadelphia following Tuesday's game against Houston to get his elbow evaluated.
