Giants reliever Guillermo Mota suspended 100 games

Guillermo MotaGiants right-handed reliever Guillermo Mota has received a 100-game suspension for testing positive for clenbuterol, which is classified as a performance-enhancing drug, Major League Baseball announced.
Mota, 38, was suspended 50 games in December of 2006 for a positive drug test. He missed the first 50 games of the 2007 season while a member of the Mets because of the suspension.
Mota has a 5.06 ERA in nine games for the Giants this season, allowing six earned runs in 10 2/3 innings.
The Giants released the following statement:
"The Giants are disappointed to learn of Guillermo Mota's suspension. We support Major League Baseball's Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.”
