Was an Artest moment, for sure. I do not condone it, he was wrong, etc.
HOWEVER....nobody seems to be talking about Harden making sure he was in the way. It's the "I'm a bad ass" mentality a lot of these clowns have. Perkins does it all the time. Play basketball. Stop trying to act like you know how to fight, or you can intimidate. Drives me nuts.
I must be gettin' old... I still think baseball is cool.
You know if you shove him or push him out of the way, it's one thing that it could be argued that it could have been a trash talk response. Or at the very very worst inadvertent because Harden was in his way. However there's a time and a place to be playful or to be in someone's face. Artest should have stepped away while jogging downcourt and emphasize his tough guy mentality rather than responding by issuing Harden an extremely violent cheap shot. Given Artest's reputation and previous on the court instances, I hope Stern and company come down on him hard, and I'm not talking just a one or two game suspension.

With that kind of elbow to the head and the issue of concussions in sports nowadays. It should be more than 5 games.
These guys think they are above the rules and the competitive nature transcends intent. If that was done in the NFL
they would get a 1 or 2 game penalty and that coincides with 5-10 games in the NBA and thats what I think he deserves.
But what do I know. Its the NBA. The Bobcats best player is their GM and Owner, Michael Jordan and he is 50 years old.
