I've been hearing about online betting and online poker from my friends but was not really interested before. But now I'm thinking that if they have earned something from these stuffs, then may be I can do the same.

Will be checking most of the sections since I'm still not familiar with some terms and jargons.

Welcome & good luck. Rule # 1 = the hobby is a marathon, not a sprint. Remember that & you have a better shot than most at being OK.
Never, ever criticize someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes........for at that point they will be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes !

A-men to that...I was going to comment on a similar idea that Joker put in his thread...a lot of people go wrong by putting in $500 or $1,000 in a book and they start betting $100 a game and wonder why they can't win. Don't bet more than 1-2% of whatever your bankroll is on any one game even if it's only $5 to start with and you are ahead of a lot of folks....

Good advice, Finance. Personally, I rarely go over 3%, and that's only for "special situations". It's usually the 1-2% you mentioned.
Think I'll start a thread one day with the 10 commandments of wagering. I'll start it with one and let the board chip in with the rest.

Hitman: I like that idea - like finance said we have a wealth of knowledge at this forum and it would be GREAT to hear and share people's thoughts and the guideline they set for themselves as well as the capping tools they use ! We could start a BBB section (Bangthebook Betting Bible)

Usually on a broomstick but we're flexible like that
