golden state losing by 17 with 10 sceonds to go and san ant trying to run out the clock fouls with 10 seconds to go. san ant hit 2 foul shot and golden state misses 3 pointer and they foul again with 4 seconds not on rebound but foul the man trying to dribble out the clock. san ant makes 1 of 2 to push the 2nd half line of +1.
seems like this should be checked into as no reason or rhyme for them to do this and was same player doing the fouling both times.
It does sound a bit fishy bulldog but we have seen more often than not this season teams down by 5 not electing to foul with :30 left, or down 16 with :10 left and fouling simply becuase they want to either pad their stats or thinking they can somehow hit an 18 pointer with the game out of reach. With the line being easily covered in last night's situation, it does leave one wondering about second halves, but these could be second unit players who are lucky to see 3 minutes a game on a regular basis.
