GOLDEN STATE TRADES JACKSON TO SAN ANTONIO FOR JEFFERSON
Sekou Smith yahoosports.com – The Golden State Warriors have used Stephen Jackson to land a first-round pick and Richard Jefferson from the San Antonio Spurs, according to league sources.
The Warriors acquired Jackson in a five-player deal earlier this week with the Milwaukee Bucks. Our man David Aldridge reports the Warriors have flipped Jackson into a conditional first-rounder from the Spurs in what should be a very deep draft.
The volatile Jackson is a Gregg Popovich favorite, making his return to the Spurs a reunion for the coach and player that helped the franchise to a championship in 2003.
