this is gonna be a good game....
georgia coming off a loss to boise st, but that was expected...boise st is a solid team, ..and georgia was more or less at home, ..s.car was behind early to e.car, but came roaring back from down 17 to not only win but cover the 21 pts...georgia may not be over their loss, and s.car beat them last yr, and almost won there 2 yrs ago losing 41-37...both teams have weak teams next so both will be focused on this game, i think spurrier got to his team at halftime last week, and they have corrected the ship, georgia is still troubled...
with georgia only having 4 starters on defense ret, i see carolina scoring here big... carolina was 2-1 as an away fav last yr, spurrier will have this team focused,
pick here s.carolina-2.5 2 stars gl 151
You’ve got to get to the stage in life where going for it is more important than winning or losing.
I like the Gamecocks here as well. With Spurrier making the change to Connor Shaw last week rallying the troops over East Carolina, it may give them the shot in the arm they need to live up to the SEC championship hype. Sophomore Marcus Lattimore, who finished second among SEC running backs with 1,197 yards and 17 rushing touchdowns last season, picked up right where he left off, compiling 112 yards on the ground and a career best-tying three TDs. Lattimore could be in for another big day against a Georgia defense which lost inside linebacker Alec Ogletree during last Saturday's 35-21 defeat to then-No. 5 Boise State. Ogletree underwent surgery on his right foot and is expected to miss four-to-six weeks.
The Bulldogs had trouble stopping Lattimore during last year's 17-6 loss at South Carolina, surrendering 182 yards and two touchdowns to the bruising back. With Ogletree on the sidelines, slowing down Lattimore will surely be all the more difficult. Georgia gave up 390 total yards to the Broncos and they need to make adjustments up front in order to avoid an 0-2 start for the first time since 1996.
