I got this from Sportsnetwork for ya.
I already took Ark State,
Arkansas State guard Marcus Hooten has been delivering in the clutch for the Red Wolves recently. Hooten hit a 35-footer that beat the buzzer to give ASU a 75-72 win over North Texas in the Red Wolves' last outing. Earlier in the week, Hooten hit a jumper and ensuing foul shot with 4.8 seconds left to lift Arkansas State over ULM (65-62) on New Years Eve. Hooten scored a game-high 24 points in the win over North Texas, as the Red Wolves stormed back from a 37-30 half-time deficit. It was the second highest total on the season for the Red Wolves' leading scorer (12.4 ppg). Hooten scored 27 in a loss to Austin Peay on December 5. Arkansas State is the fourth-best shooting team in the Sun Belt (.438), but the Red Wolves were even better in the win over the Mean Green. Arkansas State shot 55.1 percent from the floor, including 4-of-8 from three-point range. The Red Wolves also got double-digit scoring efforts from Malcoln Kirkland, who had 15, and Trey Finn, who put in 14. It was the fifth time in six games that Kirkland (11.8 ppg) reached double figures. Finn went 2-of-3 from three-point range as he continues to shoot the ball well, and he is hitting 44.8 percent from beyond the arc for the year.
Coming off a poor performance its last time out, FAU will have trouble with an Arkansas State squad that is riding a wave of momentum and the scoring prowess of Hooten. Expect the Red Wolves to fend off the Owls in this one.
Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Arkansas State 68, Florida Atlantic 60
