Injury that shouldn’t be overlooked
Matt Hasselbeck, Tennessee Titans – After leaving Sunday’s loss to Atlanta with an arm injury, Hasselbeck suffered no structural damage to his right forearm and elbow, and simply has a muscle strain. He underwent tests Monday that came back negative. Coach Mike Munchak said his signal caller will be day to day for practice and could play against Tampa Bay depending on how well he is throwing the football. Rookie Jake Locker replaced Hasselbeck on Sunday and threw his first two NFL touchdown passes. Hasselbeck has passed for 2,357 yards and 14 touchdowns this season. Tennessee opened as 3.5-point favorites at home to Tampa Bay.
Game of the day
Miami (Ohio) at Ohio (-9, N/A)
"We were not at our best and the football wasn’t as fluent or easy on the eye as it could have been, but we are happy to have won and to have got the three points. At this stage of the season it’s about picking up points. It’s about grafting, sticking together and showing a lot of character. Judge where we are by Christmas and we’ll kick on from there." - Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick told The Telegraph following Sunday’s 1-0 win over Swansea.
