the fact that demarco murray has gotten the best stretch in dallas cowboys history has to say something...just the way he has looked has shown me that he's got the tools/instincts to be great. what's interesting is that the running game before he started (with felix jones starting) had only a handful of runs over 8 yards. i believe that is a testiment to how explosive he is and can be...because he has many of those in the past five games (and would have had more if the eagles didn't run up the score so early). i think emmitt smith and all of those guys would know what they're talking about if they say he's the real deal. only thing i'm worried about right now is his conditioning...seems like he gets gasped on some of those long runs and at the end of games when you really need him to get every yard. hopefully we'll be able to tell before the playoffs. and jesus christ the cowboys better start him and play him on the majority of the plays when felix comes back, or the entire organization should be fired.

Good luck.

Well I am back. Did well last week as JTG will attest but nothing to get too excited about.
Tonights game is not one I really want to jump in with both feet so will go easy and look for something better
as the week goes along. Base these games on opinions and not that strong. But its still money.

NFL

GREEN BAY PACKERS -11 (buying pt)

For those that may not know I suck and absolutely horrendous in basketball. That said it doesnt stop me. Lots
of college basketball going on and may come back tomorrow with a play or two. For shits and giggles of course. lol

You're too much, Spook

Never, ever criticize someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes........for at that point they will be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes !

Thursday's six-pack

Points per possession on drives that get inside opponents' 20-yd line:

Week 1) 473 points/109 red zone drives= 4.34 points/drive
Week 2) 548 points/113 red zone drives= 4.85 points/drive
Week 3) 441 points/98 red zone drives= 4.50 points/drive
Week 4) 482 points/104 red zone drives= 4.75 points/drive
Week 5) 412 points/86 red zone drives= 4.79 points/drive
Week 6) 360 points/78 red zone drives= 4.62 points/drive
Week 7) 375 points/72 red zone drives= 5.21 points/drive
Week 8) 370 points/79 red zone drives= 4.68 points/drive
Week 9) 367 points/75 red zone drives= 4.89 points/drive
Week 10) 378 points/98 red zone drives= 3.86 points/drive

You can see that last week was by far, the worst week for offenses on drives in the red zone.

Thursday's List of 13: Our bottom 5, top 8 in the NFL.......

32) Colts—Still have games with Carolina/Jacksonville to try and avoid winless season; they’ll get Andrew Luck even if they win a game.

31) Redskins—Lou Holtz once fired his son as offensive coordinator at South Carolina; the same fate could await Kyle Shanahan.

30) Rams—Defense and Number 39 are trying to play their way off this list. Could happen soon.

29) Browns—Still can’t believe they didn’t win that game Sunday. Would be playing Jags to go 5-5 if they had.

28) Panthers—Am actually interested in watching their game in Detroit this week. Not sure they belong on this list, but they are 2-7.

8) Ravens—Swept the Steelers, lost to Jaguars/Seahawks. Haven’t played well two weeks in a row. Nucelus of team ain't getting any younger.

7) Giants—High-pressure home game with Eagles Sunday night; better win, or the naysayers will be out with those second half of season stats.

6) Bears—Lovie Smith teams force turnovers. Lots of them. Wonder what line on this week’s game with Chargers was back in the summer?

5) Texans—A moment of silence for Matt Schaub’s foot. QBs for rest of year are Matt Leinart and Tyler Yates (UNC rookie). Only a bye this week will keep them here next week.

4) Saints—Was Sean Payton first NFL head coach to wear shorts during a game?

3) Patriots—Handed Jets their lunch again, mainly because Sanchez isn’t good enough to exploit their shaky pass defense. Now Tyler Palko’s Chiefs come to Foxboro Monday night. He’s not good enough, either.

2) 49ers—Should clinch division this month. Won/covered last seven games. Have +13 turnover ratio.

1) Packers—Will stay in this spot, even if they lose a game, which seems doubtful. Would losing a game take some of the pressure off?
