Stephen Nover's Free Wednesday Play

Golden State vs. Boston, 03/05/2014 19:30
Point Spread: +5½/-105 Boston

This is a tough situational spot for the Warriors. They just upset the Pacers, 98-96, last night on a game-winning jumper by Klay Thompson left with 0.6 seconds left.

Now the Warriors are right back in action. This is their third game in four days and the end of a road trip that began on Feb. 24. The Warriors will head to the West Coast following this matchup. So their mental focus and physical energy figure to be down. Golden State also is just 3-9-1 ATS following a victory.

The Celtics actually have beaten Golden State eight of the last nine times at home. The last time they lost to Golden State at home was 2006. The Celtics played well in their last game, a 102-97 home loss to the Pacers. The Celtics might have won if not for an overturned call wiping out a 3-pointer by Rajon Rondo.

Golden State and Boston met on Jan. 10 with the Warriors pulling out a 99-97 home win on Stephen Curry's long jumper with four seconds left. The Celtics didn't have Rondo in that game. Their starting backcourt was Avery Bradley and Jordan Crawford and they combined to shoot only 6-of-25 from the field.

Now the Celtics are rested, at home, have Rondo and catch the Warriors not only in a letdown spot but with a high fatigue rating.
