OK IT'S WEEK 1 OF COLLEGE FOOTS. College has no pre-season so we haven't seen any of these kids play yet (well unless you went to your local scrimmage games) so I am just wondering (as a useful tool to all of us) what do you guys base the first week on when you go to cap the games? Coaches, Last years performance, number of returning starters, conference against conference, News headlines, new letters, systems (if so will you share them with us) or what? I suppose the strategies are endless but I know everyone including myself would love to hear the various things we consider in week 1
returning starters are key, quality of coach with those returning starters also something to look at and the biggest key is the school with the hottest cheerleaders. The hottest ones are worth a touchdown.. :)
I look at returning starters as well as head to head matchup results if the teams that met played each other last season. Then I take into consideration the overall conference strength and use the injury report as a last resort if a key player is out.
