Colts at Patriots minus-9: As the Chargers were wrapping up their upset of the Bengals on Sunday, the offshore books BetOnline and 5Dimes went with Patriots minus-7 and minus-7.5, respectively. The LVH opted for minus-9. The Pinnacle and CRIS offshore books also went with 7.5. Within 19 minutes that's where the LVH got bet down to and the market has leveled off. However, some books have gone to plus-7.5 (minus-120) while others have gone to minus-7 with added juice, so shop around to try and find the line you want without the added vig as it looks like it may waver between these two numbers. The over/under has mostly settled at 53, though there's a low of 52.5 at the Caesars books here in Vegas and CRIS offshore, and several books are at 53.5.

Indianapolis Colts starting safety LaRon Landry took a step toward playing in Saturday’s AFC divisional playoff game against the New England Patriots when he was a full participant in practice Wednesday.

The hard-hitting safety suffered a concussion in the second half of last weekend’s wild-card playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

It’s uncertain if Landry has passed both NFL-mandated protocols or just the one that clears him to practice. If the latter is the case, he’ll have to pass another protocol that clears him to play in the game. Landry declined comment after practice Wednesday and coach Chuck Pagano won’t address the media until Thursday.

Here’s a breakdown of the rest of Wednesday’s injury report for the Colts

Did Not Practice
NT Aubrayo Franklin: Rest
WR Darrius Heyward-Bey: Hamstring

Limited
OL Khaled Holmes: Calf

Full
S LaRon Landry: Concussion
LB Josh McNary: Concussion

Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton was in a pretty good mood during his weekly meeting with the media Wednesday.

Hamilton is responsible for coming up with a game plan that will be able counter New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick’s defensive schemes.

Hamilton referred to it being a 60-minute chess match because Belichick is always changing looks and disguising things. Then Hamilton pulled out a line that brought out a few laughs from the media contingent.

"They always tend to find ways to figure out some of your signals," Hamilton said with a grin. "That's part of it. It's truly an honor to have an opportunity to field a team and compete against the likes of Coach Belichick, who will go down as one of the greatest coaches in the history of the National Football League."

The Patriots will always remain infamous for the Spygate scandal in 2007.

Hamilton, who was part of the New York Jets' staff from 2003-05, was obviously joking when he said the Patriots "find ways to figure out some of your signals."

New England Patriots wide receiver Aaron Dobson, who has not practiced since suffering another foot injury in Week 17, was officially declared out for Saturday's divisional-round playoff game against the Colts.

Dobson, who was the only player ruled out by the team, missed four games in the regular season with an undisclosed foot issue. The Patriots will count on Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Kenbrell Thompkins and the recently re-signed Austin Collie at the receiver position.

Guard Logan Mankins, who was also injured in Week 17, is probable with an ankle issue. Mankins did not practice during the team's bye week, but he was present for each day of practice this week.

Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (knee/shoulder) is questionable, as he followed the same practice pattern as Mankins. Dennard did not play in the team's regular-season finale. Thompkins (hip) is the only other player listed as questionable.

Safety Devin McCourty (concussion), cornerback Kyle Arrington (groin), and running back Shane Vereen (groin) are among other Patriots listed as probable, nine in total.
