Well this is obviously the biggest game of the weekend. Tough to pick anything here. OVER/UNDER, Lines....money lines..
Oregon has trouble with teams that match their speed and the SEC is loaded with speed particularly with LSU and on turf. On the other hand, LSU has to be prepared for the speed of the game that just cant be simulated in practice.
Oregon wears teams out with speed and rhythm and takes over games in the second half as the d-line gets warn down and tired.
I think I will watch the game and maybe wager 2nd half.
You guys know I am a die-hard LSU fan. AND trust me.. I'll be pulling for them all the way. But this is one game I am not really looking forward to. This is one of those games that if it were anyone but LSU I'd probably stay away from just due to the off field troubles. Teams that have them usually play lights out to show they can win regardless of the problems or they let it get to them and end up losing and saying it's due to all the off-field crap.
While I have no doubt Les has done his part to prepare LSU for Oregon (at the risk of getting thrown out of town) I just don't know if we can keep up with the speed or power of Oregon's offense. On the flip side Oregon's defense is very questionable to me (until I see them play) but even with a questionable Oregon defense, I worry about LSU's offense keeping up.
All that being said, I'll probably do the following, bet the over and watch and see and play the second half (pending odds of course) I may throw the over 54 in a teaser as well and hope for the best.
At least with the tropical storm here in Louisiana they'll be in Texas playing indoors :)
I think I'm leaning towards just playing oregon on the point spread. Being the first game of the season, Oregon's team speed will catch LSU off guard. I don't like LSU's offense even against an ok Pac-10 defense.
I TEASED THEM UP TO 10, WITH NORTHWESTERN+9.5 AND OLE MISS +9.5 WITH THEIR GUYS MISSING, I STILL LIKE LSU AT HOME, THEIR RECORD AT HOME AT NIGHT IS AWSOME, VERY TUFF PLACE TO WIN...I HAVE NOT BET IT YET BUT MAY...IM ON BOISE ST AT-3 AT 8 ALSO..REALLY LOVE N.WESTERN, OLE MISS NOW DOWN TO 2.5, AND HOUSTON_2.5..HAVE A TEASER IN OLE MISS+9 OVER 50.5...WELL ILL POST ALL PLAYS TOMOROW GL BRO 151
You’ve got to get to the stage in life where going for it is more important than winning or losing.
