Sacramento vs. Miami, 12/20/2013 19:30
Point Spread: -10½/-110 Miami
This is a lot of points for the Kings to be receiving considering Miami will not be playing with a lot of motivation. The Heat are coming off a big win over the Pacers, and after a win like that there is not a lot to play for with Sacramento in town. I just can't see the Heat coming into this game with the mentality it takes to win by a double-digit margin. Sacramento on the other hand should have plenty of motivation as they face the defending champions.
The Kings may not be winning games, but they are playing better recently. They are also adjusting well to having Rudy Gay in the lineup after making the blockbuster trade last week. This matchup falls into a system to play against favorites of 10 points or more like Miami when they are coming off three or more consecutive wins and have a winning record on the season. In these situations the oddsmakers have a tendency to overvalue the favorite, and that has led to a 136-86 (61%) ATS record over the last five seasons.
