Georgia Bulldogs +4.0 over #9 AUBURN TIGERS
The Bulldogs are in a season from hell. They were touted as a top-5 team heading in to the year, with Heisman hopes for both quarterback Aaron Murray and running back Todd Gurley. Injuries to key offensive weapons and some defensive playmakers completely derailed the year. At 1-7-1 ATS, the NCAAF betting community has turned their backs on the shameful Georgia Bulldogs.
The exact opposite has happened to the surging Auburn Tigers, who have steamrolled the country in the past two months with a 6-0 SU and ATS record to show for their efforts. They are as attractive as any other team in the SEC right now, but they’re also running in to a Georgia team that is likely playing at full strength yet again.
This is the first time Georgia will be slated as an underdog all year in NCAAF betting, so take that as you will. But the Bulldogs hardly ever lay down in a big time statement game. Despite their injury woes, the Bulldogs have only been blown out by Missouri all season. Against Auburn, who has been beating up on unranked teams all year, and were walloped by LSU in late September, this is a massive test. They might receiving a passing grade, but no matter what Georgia will make them earn it. This game will be decided by a lone field goal or Georgia runs them out of the building. It’s one or the other, and both scenarios favour Georgia.
