-- Jaguars—Its November 6; they have no wins, and one loss by less than 14 points, a 19-9 loss in Oakland. Yikes.
-- Buccaneers—Led 21-0 in Seattle, which was impressive, then lost the game. Looks like the next coach at least has some talent to work with and an easy act to follow. I think they win the game on Monday night although it probably is the worst MNF game in a long time. Then again we just did see the Vikings vs. Giants a couple weeks ago.
-- Vikings—On opponents’ first drive of each half in last five games (10 drives), Vikings have given up seven TDs and a FG. Not good.
-- Falcons—Bought a light for above my kitchen sink in Home Depot last week; that store is well-run, having a better year than Arthur Blank’s more well-known franchise.
-- Steelers—Not often a network TV analyst says on-air that a team isn’t giving its full effort, but that happened in 4th quarter of Steeler-Patriot game Sunday, when Phil Simms called them out. Would expect their best effort this week, just not sure how good it will be.
-- Lions—Rodgers’ injury opens this spot up for Lions or Bears. Interesting game in Windy City Sunday- Detroit won first meeting 40-32. Roar!!!
-- Colts—At one point in Houston Sunday night, Andrew Luck was 6-20 passing; he rallied his team to win against a team whose coach/play caller had a stroke at halftime. Those are the facts.
-- Saints— 2-2 outdoors, with a lifeless win over the winless Bucs. Will they be able to win one outdoor playoff game to get to Swamp Super Bowl?
-- 49ers—On a roll vs dregs of league; Panthers come calling in post-bye test Sunday. WRs Crabtree/Manningham could return soon.
-- Seahawks—Last two games were wins, but very shaky vs poor teams. Falling behind Bucs 21-0 at home is a definitive red flag.
-- Chiefs—9-0 is 9-0, but they didn’t score an offensive TD and were outgained 470-210 by team with undrafted rookie QB making his first NFL start. Two of their next three games are with Denver.
-- Panthers—If Dallas Cowboys had their resume, ESPN would televise all their practices. This is a good defense with a QB who was used to winning in college, and has finally had a strong first half of a season in this league.
-- Broncos—Best wishes to Coach Fox for a full recovery. Not 100% sure how much his illness disrupts things, since it is doubtful he had much to do with the offense and this is an offense-driven team.
