We've seen Kids we've watched in College (as recently as last year) go out and Kick some NFL Butt to the surprise of everyone (maybe not win but win on a personal level excel - exp: Cam - gotta admit I was one of the few that believed in him from the start however) and we've seen some go out and struggle and yet prevail - exp: Tim Tebow. (I loved the young man in college and still can't believe he was so wild in his passing yesterday... announcers and analysts all seemed to expect it but I was a little shocked. Guess I lived with my head in a cloud when he was at Florida. But I wasn't shocked in Tebow's desire and push to win. However he was losing to what I think is one of the worst teams out there right now and if it hadn't been for the last 2 minutes of the game what a horrible game it would of been and what a disaster of a start for Tebow).
I don't remember ever watching so many rookie or almost rookie QBs starting in the NFL. AND INJURIES... WOW I know there are always a lot of them but this year seems worse with more serious injuries happening. Do you think it was due to lack of conditioning and lack of the pre-season/mini camps due to the lock-outs? I have to think yes at least to some degree.
Capping NFL has always been hard but this year seems such a struggle for me...We see teams losing and also winning that on paper or at the start of the season we thought would never happen. Yesterday we had scores ranging from Cleve/Seattle's 6 - 3 ( and it wasn't a Huge defensive battle - just lousy playing in my humble opinion) to N.O./Indy's 62 -7. OK granted I excepted N.O. to win, considering Indy's situation this year, but I didn't expect that kind of a blow out. We watched what I think is a very good team in Green Bay - Barely get by what I think is a mediocre team at best in Minnesota. Houston wallops Tenn, KC wallops Oakland and so on... I suppose the only one that really didn't shock me was Dallas walloping St. Louis.
But what happens next and why? Are teams just leveling out? Are we at the end of the recent years of super-stars and the new ones just not that good? The past couple weeks it seems like people aren't getting excited anymore unless the coaches are fighting or a rookie takes the field.
As I stated,,, What a strange season we are having. Just my Monday Morning thoughts.... You guys have any?
And when someone breaks our wings, we simply continue to fly...
Usually on a broomstick but we're flexible like that
