FOX COULD REPLACE McCARVER WITH REYNOLDS

Report: Harold Reynolds likely to replace Tim McCarver in Fox booth
by Dayn Perry (cbssportsline.com)

Longtime Fox MLB television color commentator Tim McCarver of course retired following Game 6 of the 2013 World Series, and the network is busy searching for his replacement to join Joe Buck in the booth for 2014 and beyond.

On that front, Chad Finn of the Boston Globe, building off an earlier report by Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated, writes that former MLBer and current MLB Network personality Harold Reynolds is the leading candidate to replace McCarver. In fact, Finn writes that it "seems a fait accompli that he'll be the choice over candidates such as Tom Verducci and John Smoltz."

Reynolds spent 12 seasons in bigs, mostly for the Mariners, and along the way made the All-Star team twice while winning three Gold Gloves at second base. He made his name as an analyst and commentator while at ESPN.
