Game Management (Again)

There was a similar thread a week or two ago... so the Jets score a touchdown to put them up 26-14 with 12:00 to go. Don't they go for 2 here instead of kicking the extra point?

It turned out fine for them but if they had lost 28-27, the head coach would've had some explaining to do IMO :)

I think you should always go for the 2 point conversion late in the 4th quarter when it is warranted.

Totally agree - the 2 point conversion seems to be incredibly mis-managed...thought these guys were supposed to have charts for this so they wouldn't have to think about it during the game...if that scenario doesn't call for it when would it ever?

Some teams choose to go for 2 at any point of the game before the 4th quarter. Other coaches elect to play by the book in the 4th quarter. I thought Rex would go for 2 considering the running game and the scrambling ability Geno can create to the outside if he happened to call his own number. Fortunately Atlanta left 2:00 for the Jets offense to methodically drive for the game winning field goal. Atlanta has now lost more games than all of last season while the Jets now trail AFC East New England by just one game.
