LSU Players / Games

When the true comes out this is not going to be pretty. (IMHO)... As bobalou said in one of her posts Coach Miles said a failed drug test was "way left of center" however everything I read points to that is exactly why they were suspended (Synthetic Marijuana) They may even miss the Alabama game.

OK again in my opinion LSU has the depth to overcome Auburn here at home... But if these guys aren't back I wouldn't risk a bet on LSU against BAMA unless they are a HUGE DOG or it has a low Scoring total or a low team total scoring. Going to Alabama and getting a win was going to be tough with all our players in tack... without some of the key players... it's not looking promising to pull off a win

Couldn't agree more Boogy.... I've been following this story closely down here in BR ....

LSU players will not be suspended for the Alabama game. His comment "left of center" could be because it was synthetic mj and not pot. Also it is not like Miles is forthcoming with the media anyway. He is not allowed to confirm the failed drug tests because of student privacy issues.

The biggest concern I have about the situation is that even before this the relationship between Miles and Alleva is very strained to where they barely even speak. Regardless LSU wins this weekend and everybody is available for Alabama and if we don't have any injuries this weekend the team will be the healthiest they have been all year.

Buddy I sure hope you're right. I was reading in the local Baton Rouge paper today (advocate) that the 3 might not be available for Bama... As I said I am sure hoping you are right. I too think we'll get by Auburn especially since we are playing at home.

Yeah I agree that Les can't really put himself out there during an ongoing event like this and I hope these continued occasional problems don't cause Les any problems. I really like him as a coach. :)

I follow LSU pretty closely and have a few friends in the athletic department. Everybody is supposedly good to go for Bama. The papaers are just saying they might not be available because the LSU official policy is a 2nd failed test can result in being suspended for 15% of the season which is 1.8 games. The policy is vague because it says that rounding can occur but it doesn't say up or down and LSU has discretion on how they enforce the rule since it was an LSU test and not an NCAA test. The players will be able to play as long as they meet the criteria that Les sets.
