Ohio State vs Wisky Predictions

1. Braxton Miller is going be rusty. In fact, he’s going to struggle vs. what may be the best front seven in the Big Ten outside of East Lansing. If the Buckeyes are going to win, Kenny Guiton will have to come to the rescue and hit some passes.

2. Wisconsin will have little chance at victory unless it rushes for at least 150 yards. Badgers QB Joel Stave can’t win this game on his own by having to throw more than 25 passes. Who will be the yin to the yang of Jared Abbrederis?

3. If Wisconsin RB Melvin Gordon rushes for over 100 yards in a win at Columbus, he’ll officially enter the Heisman race. He already is the leader for Big Ten MVP honors.

Stanford Cardinal at Washington State Cougars (+9.5, 47.5)

The Cardinal will be without star safety Ed Reynolds for the first half, a result of a hit to the helmet last week. Stanford enters the game winners of 11 straight, the second-longest streak in the nation. Stanford G David Yankey will miss the game because of an unspecified "family situation".

The Cougars, ranked 10th in the nation in total defense, have won three straight for the first time since 2006 and are allowing 12 points per contest. Leach's offense still remains formidable as quarterback Connor Halliday has already thrown for more than 300 yards three times.

LINE: Stanford has remained steady at -9.5. Total moved from 48 to 47.5.
WEATHER: Temperatures in mid 50s, 100 percent chance of rain, winds SSW 11 mph.
TRENDS:

* Under is 8-2-1 in the last 11 meetings.
* Favorite is 5-2 ATS in their last seven meetings.
* Road team is 4-0 ATS in their last four meetings.

No. 12 South Carolina Gamecocks at UCF Knights
Saturday at noon ET, ABC

The Gamecocks should be focused coming off a bye that followed their 35-25 win over Vanderbilt. That game was not as close as the final score indicated, as South Carolina jumped out to a 28-0 lead. UCF is also coming off a bye after arguably one of its biggest wins in school history, having won at Penn State 34-31. It should be noted that while UCF is only 1-5 at home since 2007 against teams from BCS conferences, those five losses came by an average of just eight points per game. I look for this game to go down to the wire.

Pick: South Carolina 27, UCF 24

Mississippi Rebels at Alabama Crimson Tide – Open: -17, Move: -14

There’s a chink in the Crimson Tide’s armor and bettors no longer believe Alabama is invincible. Early action has taken this down from one key number to the next, with money on Ole Miss swaying the market place.

“Money is coming in on both sides, and although Alabama has done nothing wrong, the sharp money likes Ole Miss plus the points,” says Black, who points out that the Rebels are 6-3 ATS in their last nine meetings with the Crimson Tide. “Bettors seem to like Ole Miss to at least cover. but Bama is a banker for SU parlay action, which is nothing new.”
