WINNING POINTS

BASEBALL SELECTIONS

BEGINNING FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 27

L.A. Angels at Texas (3) 27th, 28th, 29th
The Angels waited five months to show up for the season, but they are winning consistently here in September (8-3, +$530 last 10 days) and are in ideal position to knock Texas out of post-season contention. Jered Weaver has been flashing good form after missing several starts in 2013 (3.36 ERA in his 23 outings) and looks like an
excellent value as a visitor to Arlington.
PREFERRED: Jr.Weaver

Oakland at Seattle (3) 27th, 28th, 29th
If the A’s haven’t wrapped up the AL East at this point, they should be worried here at Safeco. The Mariners have gotten the best in head to head play (10-6, +$690) and they still have two of the AL’s very best hurlers, either of whom could be making one last start before heading into the off-season.
PREFERRED: Iwakuma/F. Hernandez.
