Money Line: +183 Milwaukee
Until being shut out by Felix Hernandez this past Sunday, Milwaukee had scored 10 runs in two straight games. The Brewers' offense adds a huge bat today with cleanup hitter Aramis Ramirez expected to play.
The Brewers are 5-3 in their last eight games. They are rested having been idle on Monday, while the Rangers have been on the road for 10 straight games, including edging Houston on Monday.
This is the Rangers' first game in Arlington in 12 days and a real flat spot for them. The Rangers have won eight in a row, but all but one of those victories came against either the Astros or Angels. Those two teams are a combined 54 games under .500.
Milwaukee starter Marco Estrada returned from a strained left hamstring and pitched extremely well this past Wednesday on the road against the Giants. He held the Giants to one run in five innings with six strikeouts. The Brewers have an underrated backend of the bullpen, particularly unsung closer Jim Henderson.
Estrada has a home ERA of 7.71. However, his road ERA is 3.07 in seven starts. His road OPS of .603 ranks among the best in the league.
The Rangers are going with righty Alexi Ogando, who still doesn't seem right. He missed seven weeks due to inflammation on his pitching shoulder. Since returning, he hasn't lasted past the fifth inning in all four of his starts, has more walks than strikeouts and has given up more than one hit per inning.
The Brewers have been terrible against lefties, but they are a respectable 40-43 versus righties.
