Buying where applicable is something spooky and I have preached long for years. If a line is landing on those half point spreads such as 3, 3.5, 4, 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5, 8 10, 10.5 and 14 14.5, you buy the half or full point. In some situations I will still even but a full point if the line is higher. You always want to avoid losing those hook situations and more often than not it comes into play saving one's ass. Spooky's lines may look a lot better when posted but of course they are going to because they are posted after the buy.
Spooky has been on a 70-80% draconian run over the last 3 months and continues to either maintain or better it week in and week out. At this rate he is on pace to take the momentum right into bowl season, where you know he has ripped it apart over the last two decades or so. Saturday early and mid afternoon he posted like 8 straight winners, and this came after Pittsburgh, so he more than made up for his loss. He even won with Miss St on the last play of the game which was a safety, as it is true sometimes it is better to be lucky than good. Even the Saturday night games weren;t too shabby, and the earlies on Sunday were decent but played with discipline. Sunday night caught up a little bit, but by then he was so far up it barely had an impact.
Let's face it. If you don't practice discipline in this business and pick your spots you will never end up on the winning end of things. The kind of run Spooky is on right now the numbers at the tracker don't lie. While he might not win every day there are a lot more pluses over minuses and at the end of the week being in the green is all that matters with a lot more winning days than losing ones. GL
