Free play for Friday is the Cleveland Indians over the Boston Red Sox.
They gave me an easy 20 dime winner last night so I figured I'd go right back with them tonight as a free play.
Plus, I really like how Justin Masterson has been pitching and I still believe the Red Sox are not as good as their record.
It was great to see Terry Francona come back to Boston and stick it up their tailpipe like that. "You don't want me... fine, I don't need you either!!"
I told you Ryan Dempster had been struggling and I also told you Zach McAllister was becoming one of the bright young pitchers in the big leagues.
Tonight they give the ball to probably their best overall pitcher (though I still like McAllister better long term), Justin Masterson.
Masterson (7-2, 2.83 ERA) should give the Indians another good chance to win against an overrated offense, in my opinion. Aside from Matt Moore, who is on an unreal pace right now, Masterson is tied for the most amount of wins in the American League with 7.
That's a massive improvement from last year's 11-15 mark with his 4.93 ERA to boot. He's now won three straight starts and done so by posting an unbelievable 1.17 ERA in the process.
After beating Seattle, 6-0, on Sunday, Masterson has now beaten his old record of consecutive innings pitched without allowing a run as it currently stands at 19.
Everything is going right in Cleveland right now and I see no reason they don't "steal" another one in Fenway today.
Take Cleveland as your free play of the day.
