Sometimes it sucks to be a starting pitcher

Don't know what's going to happen, but Shields throws 8 innings of 2 hit ball and now the closer is in and has loaded the bases with no outs....

Of course it also sucks for Sale who pitches 7.1 innings and only gives up a run and is going to lose....

Wow both starters off the hook as we go to the bottom of the 9th 1-1....

It also sucks to be someone who was riding Shields only to lose in extra innings. Have to make it up tonight.

Sounds like my luck this season as I rely on certain SP and certain stats for my plays. This weekend:

Friday, LAD w/Kershaw 7 IP, 3 hits 1 ER = LOSS
Saturday ATL w/ Minor 7 IP, 3 hits, 3 ER = LOSS
Saturday PHIL w/Hamels 8 IP, 4 hits 0 ER = LOSS

It's been the story of my season so far. I am lucky to be down only 4-5 units so far.

Never, ever criticize someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes........for at that point they will be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes !

Had White Sox, but feel bad for Shields. Amazing night of pitching only to see the bullpen blow it.

So many shaky bullpens in both leagues makes it a coin flip once that starter is pulled in most games
