Opening Line: Broncos -3 (-120) , Total 43
The surprising Green Bay Packers are in Denver tonight to take on the Broncos in Monday Night Football. The Packers have been led by an offense that relies heavily upon quarterback Brett Favre. The Packers are off to their best start since the 2002 season while the Broncos are still looking for an identity at 3-3. SBG Global reports that early betting has the public taking Broncos at Home.
The Packers have the worst rushing offense in the league but have thrived thanks to a stout defense and a solid passing game. It will be interesting tonight since Denver has the worst rushing defense in the league. Favre has 1,715 yards passing with nine touchdowns and six interceptions but is coming off his worst game of the season where he was 19 of 37 for 188 yards and two interceptions in Green Bay’s 17-14 win over Washington.
Favre is 17-15 all-time on Monday nights. The Packers have lost all five previous games at Denver in their history.
The Broncos are coming off a 31-28 win over Pittsburgh as Jason Elam hit a 49 yard field goal at the buzzer. Quarterback Jay Cutler had a nice game throwing three touchdowns and completing 22 of 29 passes for 248 yards.
"Instead of going up a notch, he went up two notches," Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said, "He played the No. 1 defense in the NFL, found a way to move the ball in the fourth quarter, found a way to win. You're hoping your quarterback does for you."
