1. Under 44.5 Carolina / Colts
The Colts defense showed just how strong they could be last Monday when the shut down the Jaguars and knocked out the starting QB. On a short week before the Patriots look for the Colts to keep it vanilla. Carolina has hit the under in 13 of 17 after winning by 14 points or more and in 18 of 27 after yielding 10 points or less.
2. St. Louis +3
The Rams are the worst team in the league and there are rumors there will be a coaching change. The Rams will have Bulger and Jackson in the lineup together for the first time in some while and this will help the Rams get on track against a Cleveland defense that has been suspect at times. The Rams are 20-6 ATS at home off a division game and they have cashed at a 22-12-1 clip when hosting AFC teams. Conversely, Cleveland is 5-9-1 ATS on the road of late against NFC foes and 5-13-1 ATS coming off a SU win.
3.Giants / Dolphins over 47.5
These teams will be encouraged to score as often as possible to put on a good show for the Chaps in London. This should be easy for the Giants as the Dolphins defense has trouble with tall receivers and Plaxico fits that mold. The Dolphins will not light up the scoreboard but the Giants defense should let them get a few when this game is out of hand. New York has zipped 'over' in 14 of 21 games as a non-conference favorite.
4. Washington +17
The Redskins are one of the toughest teams that the Patriots have yet to face mainly because they play a complex defense. It will not be so easy for Brady to pass on this secondary as they promise to be physical with the Patriots wide outs and the last time Moss faced the Redskins he was knocked out of the game. The skins are 22-10 ATS as a road underdog on grass after allowing 20 points or less in the last game. The Pats will get caught looking ahead.
5. Jets -2.5
The Jets need a win and they need it badly. Last time they faced the Bills they were beaten but it was close and if Pennington wants to have a job with the jets for the rest of the season this turns into a very big win for him. The Bills are 4-15 ATS away from home after cashing three of four. The New York Jets have cashed 10 of 15 series meetings at The Meadowlands and five of seven clashes overall. J-E-T-S-!
6. Pittsburgh / Cincinnati over 48
The Bengals defense has been torn to shreds by nearly every team they have faced this season and since Pittsburgh is off a loss they will be looking to take it out on the bengals. The Bengals offense will always be deadly and good for a few scores of their own against a Pittsburgh defense that was just torched by the Broncos. Cincinnati has topped the 'total' in 25 of 36 as division home dogs.
7. Detroit +5
The Lions have proved they are for real by winning plenty of games this season but they will need this one to prove they can play within the division. The Bears now believe in Griese after the drive to beat the Eagles where he called all of his own plays. If The Bears want to put their staple on the division they will have to play defense and shut down the Lions offense, I am not sure they can and this will come down to the wire so the points are at a premium.
