1. Green Bay -8.5
There is no doubt about it; this is not the time of year to be dropping big numbers with road chalk in division. Except for this game because the Pack want revenge and the Bears on offense look very bad against Minnesota and it will be worse against green Bay. Green Bay has won 13 of 15 and cashed 11 of its last 15 at Chicago. The Packers will be out for revenge after dropping the first series test as 3 1/2-point road dogs, 27-20. The favorite has cashed at a 9-4-1 clip in the last 14 battle between these old rivals.
2. Texans +7
The Texans make the cut for the second time in two weeks and they should with Sage being 3-0 at the helm and Williams getting snubbed from the pro bowl. The Colts have nothing to play for and will just go through the motions here. Indianapolis is 8-22 ATS during the last two weeks of the regular season.
3. KC / Detroit over 43.5
These teams are playing so badly I don’t even want to get into the losing streaks they are sporting but I will say many of the losses came due to turnovers and lack of defense. This leads to this game going over as I look for a ton of points by both teams and whoever has the ball last wins! Kansas City is 17-6 Over off 3+ ATS losses.
4. Patriots -22
This is the biggest number I have ever dropped in an NFL game but it will get covered. The Patriots want to make sure that Brady and Moss get their records and after being slowed down by the weather last week the forecast looks great for this weekend. Miami is 5-14 ATS in its last 19 road finales. The Dolphins have floundered in 25 of 33 ATS against division foes in the last four week and in eight straight on the road ATS when facing a top-level opponent. New England trounced Miami in the first meeting this season as 14-point road favorites, 49-28. The Patriots have 'covered' six of seven against the Dolphins at home. They are 20-9-1 versus division opposition the last four weeks of the season.
5. Giants -2
The Giants know they need another win to be assured of a playoff spot and they do play better on the road. They know if they wait till next week then they will have to try and make the playoffs by beating the best team in the league and they would rather do it this week. The Bills will be emotional at home but last week was the game they needed and they will be flat here.
6. Washington +7
The playoffs start now for the Redskins and they have to win this game if they want to make the playoffs. Taking points with a team that will fight to the end to control their own playoff destiny is always a recipe for success. The Vikings finally stumble and end the good run they have been on.
7. Arizona -10
Another big chalk this week but this week Kurt Warner came out and asked to be the starting QB next year and that means he has to finish strong. The Cardinals always play well at home and the mismatch at the wide out spot will be too much for the Falcons. The Falcons had another blow when the big tuna signed with Miami and they have given up on the year. Arizona is 33-15 ATS at home off two or more straight losses. The Cardinals have cashed 15 of 21 after losing by seven points or less. Atlanta is 4-12 ATS during the second half of the season and 5-11-2 ATS in its last 18 road finales.
