Just like the San Diego Chargers the New York Giants disappointed the Cowboy fans and upset Dallas at home last week to advance to the championship game against the Green Bay Packers. The Giants have done a great job in the playoffs and more importantly have done it on the road. In fact they have an NFL record with nine consecutive road victories. The Packers advanced in the snow by stomping the Seahawks and were thankful for the Giants because that meant they will play another game at home. They were led by Grant as he recovered after two fumbles early in the game to come back and run for over 200 yards. Grant will look to show his former team that they made a mistake by letting him go as he takes the field this week.

Analysis, Trends and Pick:
Many of the experts are saying that this is all about Eli Manning but it’s more than that. The Giants have had a very impressive running game and this takes the pressure off Eli Manning and puts the opposing defense on their heels. The Giants defense is tough up front and puts tremendous pressure on the opposing Quarterbacks. All of these factors will aid Eli Manning and allow him to manage the game. The Packers will have to rest again on the shoulders of Brett Favre and it could be tough for the veteran against this defense that has played outstanding in the playoffs and on the road. This game will be back and forth the entire day and look for the defense to play a serious role in this game. Both defenses are staunch and ready for the fight and will put the pressure on the QB’s to win the game. The Giants have a two headed monster in the backfield and this will allow them to wear down the defense of the Packers and control the tempo of the game. The Giants hold off a late rally by the Packers and Brett Favre and get the victory in Green Bay in Sunday.
