The regular season is upon us and it is time to get the Super Seven going. In the last week of the preseason we nailed 6 out of 7 winners to finish at 17-11 in the preseason! That finishes the preseason at 61%! Now it is time for the real thing!

1) Thursday September 10th: Titans @ Steelers

This game is a great way to start the season and everyone remembers the young running backs from the Titan stomping on the terrible towel and you can imagine the Steelers won’t forget it. The problem is the Titans are good and they match up well against Pittsburgh. The Titans are 7-0 ATS in September and thrived in the role of underdog, cashing 16 of its last 22 overall and 20 of 34 during September.

Play: Titans +6

2) Sunday September 13th: Chiefs @ Ravens

This line has jumped all over the place since the injury to Matt Cassel was announced but all reports I read is that he will play in week one. This should help the total go way over the posted 36. The Ravens are known to score plenty of points early as they are 5-1 Over the total in September. The Ravens defense will surrender some point to the new Chief offense and the Ravens should score at will. Take the over!

 Play: Chiefs/Ravens Over 36

3) Sunday September 13th: Vikings @ Browns

Okay hear me out but I am backing the Browns against the Vikings. I get a home dog in the first week of the season and I am not entirely sold that the Favre is 100% ready with the offense. Brady Quinn should get the start for the Browns but even if he doesn’t I think this game is close and is less than a field goal by the time it is over. The Browns are a cash cow in this spot as they are 8-2 ATS as an underdog of 3.5 to 9.5 points and may pull off the upset in this game.

Play: Browns +4

4) Sunday September 13th: Lions @ Saints

I am taking the Lions in week one. The reason is simple they need a win. They named a rookie a starting QB and have done well in the preseason. The Saints are great but the defense is suspect and Calvin Johnson is the best wideout in football. New Orleans has disappointed its supporters in nine of 11 as double-digit favorites and in 10 of 16 as home chalk in September. Detroit has cashed five of six versus NFC-South foes. The Lions are 8-1 as double digit underdogs. I will take my chances here with the Lions to keep it lower than 10.

Play: Lions +13

5) Sunday September 13th: Bears @ Packers

The Packers have been a machine in the preseason and it looks to carry over. The Bears are excited to have Jay Cutler but they are not all on the same page just yet. Playing in Green Bay to start the season is no picnic. The Bears are 13-20 ATS vs. Green Bay and that trend should keep going on Sunday. The Packers have covered at a 15-9-1 rate as home chalk of 3 1/2-points or less. Aaron Rodgers has a big night and the Packers roll the Bears!

Play: Packers -3.5

6) Monday September 14th: Bills @ Patriots

The Patriots and Tom Brady are back. The offense should be in prime mode for the Patriots but Wes Welker has some injury issues and don’t be surprised if the patriots run more than normal. The Bills have a hurry up but the just fired the offensive coordinator so something is not working. The 'under' is 17-5 in the last 22 series skirmishes. Buffalo has dipped below the total in 14 of 19 as division dogs and the Patriots in 17 of 23 as division favorites. This will be surprisingly low scoring and the under is the play.

Play Under 47.5

7) Monday September 14th: Raiders @ Chargers

My favorite play in all of football is the home divisional dog. The Raiders get this spot on Monday night and have done well on Monday night in the past. This is a different Raider team over the last few years but Tom Cable is bringing a new attitude to the silver and black. San Diego coach Norv Turner is 1-9-1 ATS in his last 11 division openers and this should be his last year in San Diego.

Play: Raiders +10
