Pointspread: Kentucky

Total Line: OFF

The Florida Gators and the Kentucky Wildcats will battle it out for first place in the SEC this Tuesday night when the two teams clash at Rupp Arena in Lexington. The tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

Florida improved its record in conference play to 7-1 straight-up with a 73-65 victory over Vanderbilt this past Saturday as a 6.5-point home favorite. The raised its overall record to 19-4 SU and 9-8-1 against the spread. The Gators are 4-4 both SU and ATS on the road and the total has gone ‘over’ in five of the eight games.

Kenny Boynton has been a force for Florida this season with 17.4 points a game while shooting 47.3 percent from the field, but there are four other players scoring in the double figures and as a team, the Gators are shooting 47.2 percent from the floor and 40.2 percent from three-point range.

Kentucky continues to roll through the SEC with lopsided wins over Tennessee and South Carolina last week to run its record to 23-1 SU overall and 9-0 SU in conference play. The Wildcats have been extremely costly this season with an overall record of 8-14-1 ATS and a 3-10-1 record ATS at home, but they have covered in four of their last five games. The total has stayed ‘under’ in 14 of 23 games overall.

This is another well-balanced team with six players scoring in double figures led by Anthony Davis and Doron Lamb. The Wildcats are averaging 78.2 points a game while shooting 48.6 percent from the field. They are ranked 12th in the nation in rebounds with an average of 40 a game.

The Gators are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS win. The total has gone ‘over’ seven of their last 10 games on the road.

The Wildcats are 3-9-1 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a winning records SU, but 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS win. The total has stayed ‘under’ in five of their last eight conference games.

Florida is 9-4-1 ATS in the last 14 meetings in this series and 5-2-1 ATS in its last eight trips to Rupp Arena. The total has stayed ‘under’ in six of the last eight meetings in Lexington.

It is hard to see the Gators pulling-out a SU win on the road against Kentucky, but stick with them to keep this a one or two possession game right down to the final buzzer.
