Mission Impazible is a sneaky horse with a fantastic pedigree that could make a huge difference in your Triple Crown bets if he runs in either the Preakness Stakes or Belmont Stakes. The Louisiana Derby winner is known for his huge kick late in races, as it was that kick that won win the Louisiana at the wire and nearly ran down the field at the Southwest. Mission Impazible's style suits him well in this type of a race with a ton of speed in it.

Just take one look at a few of these horses that are in Mission Impazible's bloodlines. Unbridled and Unbridled's Song were considered two of the best horses in their times. The sire of this horse, Unbridled's Song was known for that same speed and late kick that his brood could display on Saturday. His dam La Paz was also a fantastic distance filly. Many think that this could be the best bred colt in this field.

Trainer Todd Pletcher finally won his first Kentucky Derby this year with Super Saver. The problem is that jockey Rajiv Maragh is a complete unknown on this circuit, and that inexperience might ultimately prove to cost Mission Impazible. Maragh did run this horse to the Louisiana Derby winner's circle, in a run that was just about perfect.

The other issue that Mission Impazible could run into is a huge quantity of horses to get around to make his move. Traditionally, the Triple Crown races are those where a closer can thrive, but many of them have just been shut out in traffic and were never able to make the necessary moves to get to the front of the pack. If Maragh doesn't run another perfect race, Mission Impazible may be nowhere to be found on the board.

That late kick never really happened at Churchill Downs even though Mission Impazible was in decent position for the majority of the race. The 1 1/4 miles may have just been too much to handle.
