Ottawa Skates Past Florida 3-2 - Recap

The Senators earned a 3-2 victory over the Panthers on Saturday at Canadian Tire Centre. The Senators were a -180 favorite in the win. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 5.5. Clarke MacArthur, Kyle Turris, and Mika Zibanejad each scored for the Senators in the victory. Turris opened the scoring for Ottawa, finding the back of the net at 1:45 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Bobby Ryan. Robin Lehner stopped 26 of 28 Florida shots in the victory. Marcel Goc and Nick Bjugstad scored for the Panthers, finding the net behind Robin Lehner. Tim Thomas stopped 29 of 32 shots for the Panthers, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory. On the power play, Ottawa went 1-for-3, while the Panthers were 0-for-5 with the man advantage. Florida lost the shots on goal battle to Ottawa by a margin of 32-28. Ottawa looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Flyers. The Panthers will aim to get back on the winning track at New York.
