Flames Fall 4-1 Against St. Louis - Game Recap

Ryan Reaves scored a pair of goals against the Flames as St. Louis handed Calgary a 4-1 defeat on Thursday at Scottrade Center. St. Louis won as a -245 favorite, while Over-Under bettors who played PUSH the total of 5 were rewarded at the payout window. Ryan Reaves (2), Andy McDonald, and Alexander Steen each scored for the Blues in the victory. Reaves opened the scoring for St. Louis, finding the back of the net at 3:21 of the second period. The goal was assisted by Adam Cracknell and Jay Bouwmeester. Brian Elliott stopped 18 of 19 Calgary shots in the victory. Calgary got a goal from Sven Baertschi in the loss, but it wasn't enough. Joey MacDonald stopped 16 of 20 shots for the Flames, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory. On the power play, St. Louis went 1-for-5, while the Flames were 0-for-4 with the man advantage. Calgary lost the shots on goal battle to St. Louis by a margin of 20-19. St. Louis looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Blackhawks. The Flames will aim to get back on the winning track at Chicago.
