The battle between the Stars and Kings didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Los Angeles was handed a 5-1 defeat on Tuesday at American Airlines Center.
Dallas was an underdog by +130 and came through for bettors backing them. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 5.
Dallas got goals from Ray Whitney (2), Vernon Fiddler (2), and Alex Goligoski in the victory. Goligoski opened the scoring at 11:16 of the first period.
Richard Bachman turned in a 22-save effort for the Stars.

Jonathan Quick stopped 26 of 31 shots for the Kings, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Dallas went 0-for-4, while the Kings were 1-for-5 with the man advantage.
Dallas outshot Los Angeles 31-30 in the game.
Next game, Dallas takes its act on the road to face Nashville looking for another win. For Los Angeles, they head home to face Colorado.
