Ottawa got goals from Daniel Alfredsson and Guillaume Latendresse in the loss, but it wasn't enough.
Craig Anderson stopped 21 of 24 shots for the Senators, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Tampa Bay went 2-for-7, while the Senators were 1-for-4 with the man advantage.
Ottawa outshot Tampa Bay 33-24 in the game.
Next game, Tampa Bay takes its act home to face Pittsburgh looking for another win. For Ottawa, they head on the road to face Philadelphia.
