New Jersey lost Niedermayer to Anheim and Patrik Elias is injured. Pittsburgh has a deadly powerplay unit and expect them to benefit from the new rules.
NY Rangers +265 1 unit
Everyone is on the Flyers' bandwagon and I too think they are the favorite to win the cup. But it's the opening day and anything can happen. Maybe should wait if the line gets even higher.
Minnesota +130 1 unit
Minnesota against last year runners-ups, Calgary. Calgary is better overall, but Minny +130 @home is just too tempting. Star winger Gaborik is out but Minnesota is a good, solid team.
Edmonton -132 2 units
Colorado lost some key players including maybe the best player in the NHL -Peter Forsberg. Edmonton got stronger by adding Peca and Pronger. Hejduk is injured.
Vancouver -190 2 units
Vancouver is by far the better team and Nagy is out for the Coyotes. Not really excited about these big favorites, but gotta take this.
Toronto +128 1 unit
Sure, Senators are better but gotta take home dog at +128 when these two teams play. Toronto ain't that bad. Especially if Lindros and Allison can take some heat off from Sundin.
