Tonight I am going to look at the game between the New York islanders and the New York Rangers. This game will be filled with defense and some hard hitting and for the pure hockey fan it is a must see tonight. For the Islanders that went and signed defenseman Bryan Berard and even though they are on hush on whether he will play tonight, I would expect at some time to see him in the lineup which will only bolster the Islander defense. The coach said they could go with a lineup of seven defensemen instead of the usual six, or they could rotate defensemen in and out of the lineup depending on matchups. They also might consider juggling the pairings, which consisted of Brendan Witt-Radek Martinek, Andy Sutton-Marc-Andre Bergeron and Chris Campoli-Bruno Gervais in the first three games.
The Rangers are going through some injury issues as well and that does not bode well for a team that is still trying to mesh offensively.
Look for a low scoring game played with solid defense between the pipes and hard hitting.
