The Redskins are off a road win where the offense was putrid and had to be carried by the defense. Seattle has had one of the best years in its club history and Alexander walked away with the MVP.
Today they come into this game as a 9 point favorite as they play the Redskins. That is way too much in my opinion. The skins have come on late in the season by playing great defense and by running the ball. This will allow them to keep the game close and they may even have a shot of winning on the field.
I know that home teams off a bye are 49-11 SU in the playoffs, but this could be #12. I get an experienced playoff QB and head coach with a decent defense and running game. I also have all of these trends in my favor. The Redskins are 40-21 ATS as a dog between 3.5-9.5, while the hawks are just 19-36 ATS as chalk from 3.5-9.5. The Seahawks are also 4-12 ATS off a bye week and 1-6 ATS in games played in January.
