i think tennessee falters in the playoffs. the fact that they don't have an elite quarterback will cost them in the long run.

Yeah I'm staying far away from them. They still haven't played a top tier team IMO. Baltimore is the best team they have played, yes I know Indy beat Baltimore pretty badly a couple weeks ago.

Now is the time to get in on the futures, you can always find a way to buy it back if you get in on a playoff team. Last year I got in on the Giants when they were 11-1, being a huge Giants fan I didnt cover it like I should have but in other years past I have always taken 1 NFC and 1AFC team to win it all.

If the Titans go 5-4 in there next 9 they are almost assured a first round bye and home field throughout. The Steelers might be at 12-4 but I dont think any other team has a shot at it.

I havent placed any futures yet but here is what I am looking at:
Cowboys +1650... If they can make the playoffs, at this price they are very good bet.
Giants +350... Only team that could beat them is a healthy Cowboy team, IMO

Jags +2900.. Outside looking it but have the defense to go far
Titans +350.. Best defense in the league, can there offense keep up.

While I agree with Cowboys and giants I think the Jags are a lost cause. Their D is living on reputation right now. They are towards the bottom defensively, especially against the pass.

If Titans let Vince Young play 6 or more of the last 9 games and he plays in the playoffs they could do it. Kerry Collins is not going to win a super bowl.

I would give Philly a shot to get out of the NFC as well as long as they stay healthy. Washington is a bit of an outsider that could do well. Their defense is solid.

That's a good bet. But I think to win the AFC title is a better one. Because you are most likely running into the Giants come February - and they have an advantage on Collins. They owned him, and they know him like a book.

Okay I am taking a few darkhorses to get paid here and one solid favorite

AFC

Buffalo +800 to win the AFC--the Bills set up nice and if they do well enough they can get home field for some of the playoffs. With the west being a mess they would basically have to get by Pittsburgh and that is a tall order but I will take a shot.

Colts +1000They have some issues no doubt about it, but they still have a shot. The wild card is wide open with the way that the West is falling and that will get them into the playoffs and that's all the shot I need.

NFC
Bears +1100
They will have to fight the Pack for the division and they have been inconsistent at times but they are coming around and they are finally getting solid play at QB. In fact they are second in points per game and the defense and special teams always play well.

Carolina +500 I liked this team all year and they are playing well. They are 5th in total defense and just need to find some consistency. They are on pace to win the division and seem to be playing better every week with Steve Smith regaining his form.

This conference belongs to the NFC East but I will take a shot.

One thing to keep in mind when playing futures: Since Tom Brady, no other QB has made it to the Super Bowl on his first trip to the playoffs.
