Default I have a very stupid question...

What do you guys means when you say units?

I'm sure its like $10 or $100, but I'm very curious as to what it actually is.

im sure it depends on the person...a person normally bets in certain units, $5, 10, 20, 50, 100. each unit counts for a certain multiplier of this.

Yea it depends, for me a unit changes depending on my bankroll if it grows during the season I could start out at 100 for 1 unit but then it becomes 200 for 1 unit if my roll dictates. Money Management is key to betting

Agreed, money management is vital. I usually run between 2 and 3.5% of my bankroll on a wager. I avoid parlays for the most part. By using the same percentage, you change the amount of what a unit is for you. The end goal is to turn a profit every season.

And it was not a dumb question. The dumb thing would be to not ask questions. Learn as much as you can, never let pride or ego keep you from winning.
