Default NFL predictions

Okay so there will be many more twists in the road as we go through the NFL season.
But now isn't a bad time to go ahead and take a look at how things have gone so far and
to try to predict how things will be at the end of the season as we head into the playoffs.

So, let's start with the NFC.There will be 3 teams that come out of the East.
The Giants, Redskins, and Cowboys will all get into the playoffs and none of them will
lose more than 6 games. Who will win the NFC East? I wish I knew. The Giants seem
like the safe pick but they've had an easy schedule so far. The Redskins are the sure
pick and they deserve it. But I just don't see it. I'll stick the Cowboys.

Out of the NFL North we're going to have the Chicago Bears. The Packers looked like
the favorite just a couple weeks ago but Rodgers is nicked and probably will be all season.
And this team can't stop the run. How will they succeed in Lambeau in November and December?
They won't. Bears win the North with eleven wins.

The Carolina Panthers will win the South but not without getting a huge scare from the Bucs.
Still, the Panthers win it with ten wins. And in the NFC West, who cares? Some team will
win it with probably eight wins. We'll go with Arizona because of their offense.
Over in the AFC, the East is a very interesting division all of a sudden. I like the Bills to
win the division with ten wins. But I do think the Dolphins win seven games this year and
finish tied with New England and the Jets.

In the AFC North, Pittsburgh will win the division. They'll have twelve wins because every
other team in the division is horrendous, and yes that includes Baltimore who will drop off.
Out of the AFC South will come the Jags (who'll take one Wild Card spot) and the Titans
(who'll win the division with 13 wins). I was going to take the Colts but I think Harrison is
in prison before the end of the season for a shooting in Philly.

Then in the AFC West we'll have the Broncos winning the division with 11 wins and the
Chargers grabbing the other Wild Card with 9 wins. Of course, that's just what it looks like
right now. I reserve the right to change this at the end of each week.
